A result should be

Use EnggTools with the calculation method in view. A useful answer depends on the inputs, the assumptions and whether the selected method applies to your problem.

Start with the design basis

Establish dimensions, units, materials, tolerances, load cases and an acceptance criterion. Do not treat an illustrative example as project input.

Read the scope of the check

Each tool describes its assumptions and exclusions. A pipe-wall calculation is not a complete piping-system assessment, and a dimensional fit check does not qualify a seal.

Follow the calculation

Review the available formula notes and worked examples. Independently reproduce critical results, including unit conversion and governing extremes.

Use the applicable references

Where a tool identifies a code or standard edition, confirm that it matches your project. Explanations on this site do not replace the official publication.

Treat statistical results carefully

RSS results depend on the stated statistical assumptions. Review worst-case limits where guaranteed dimensional fit is required.

Keep approval explicit

Reports document calculations; they do not certify equipment. The responsible engineer must assess applicability, omitted effects and final acceptance.
